You don’t have to — you enter the number once, and never have to look at it again. It’s saved in your virtual phone book, easy to recall by finding the name of the intended recipient.

How long will it be, then, until you can just hold your cell phone next to another cell phone, and instantly swap information? This can already be done with iPhone apps like “Bump,” but how long until it’s a regular feature that everybody has and uses on a regular basis?
At that point, then, phone numbers will mean nothing. They will always be behind-the-scenes, just like an IP address.
When you want to go to Google.com, that’s what you type. You don’t type in 216.239.51.99, because it has an alias to represent it, and make it more friendly to us humans.

So, how long do you think until phone numbers will be JUST like this, to the point where you never lay eyes on anybody’s phone number, ever, unless you make an attempt to for whatever reason?

Evolution of my thoughts

I had an incredibly eye-opening train of thoughts today about how far we’ve come as a species…
We evolved from monkeys. Shit-flinging, hair-picking, tree-climbing monkeys. And now we have vehicles that take us from point A to point B at amazing speeds. Not only that, but they travel on designated routes, with in-depth, complicated traffic systems to make sure the trek is a safe one, even with globally recognized traffic signals and signs.
We have technology that accurately predicts the weather a week or more before it even happens.
We have been to an orbiting hunk of rock that we call a moon, and brought chunks of it back.
But the most amazing thing? I just typed all of this on a handheld device conncected to the Internet, while taking a shit.

This is a brand-spankin’-new Bit Buccaneer track, entitled...

This is a brand-spankin’-new Bit Buccaneer track, entitled “Pass It.” Please let me know what you think!

New song of mine, entitled “Freedom of Freedom.”

No doubt, one of the best games I’ve ever played.
But, I didn’t NEARLY expect the record-breaking sales that it procured. While I did expect a large-numbered first day of sales, this was simply unpredictable…

Let’s start off by setting the bar.
Last year, Grand Theft Auto IV broke industry records, selling over 3.7 million copies the day the game was released, and 5.92 million during the first week on-shelves. People were amazed, and the news spread like wildfire.
This accounted for all of the platforms the game is available on (except for PC, which was not available until later in the year).

Now, to get to Modern Warfare 2.
This game has STUNNED market analysts, as well as people who give a rats ass, such as myself.
On the very first day this game was out, it sold over SEVEN MILLION COPIES worldwide. On the first day.
This is in comparison to GTAIV’s 5.92 million in the first WEEK, which broke records.

And these seven million copies were spread out among the platforms for which it was released… The Xbox 360, the most popular console so far for this game, had a staggering 5.5 million sales on the first day alone.
This is almost equal to GTAIV’s one WEEK sale, and it’s just for one console!

I am honestly stunned. This game has broken so many records in the 24 hours that it’s been released, and it’s sure to make a huge impact on the gaming scene.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go play for a couple — the rest of the night.

This is my new song, “Roachbusters.”

The idea, thought up by my brother (who also provided a few lines to get me started), soon branched into my first song. At the time, it had a shitty beat and was recorded with a shitty mic.

It now has an awesome beat from my man Sleaze, and is recorded with a much better mic. So… It’s better.
I’ve also changed things up just a little bit and also gave it a completely new ending.

Sure, the App Store may look great at first glance, but if you use it a lot or are a developer, you know that it has its downfalls.

Battery apps, fart apps, flashlight apps, soundboard apps; the list goes on. They flood the store like there’s no tomorrow. Developers who make these apps often just want to make a quick buck off of these trends by making quick, sub-par apps. Okay, so maybe some of these are good (such as iStat and Statistique), but most were obviously made in a very short amount of time. With all of these one-trick pony apps in the store, it’s difficult to find all of the great apps the store has to offer. It’s almost like finding a needle in a haystack. For developers it’s often difficult to get their app “out there.” I know of quite a few apps that are just plain awesome that I’ve never seen on any Top list on the App Store.

My second gripe is that developers can’t directly reply to user ratings. As part of the Keymote team, it’s frustrating to see that a good deal of the people who gave it one or two stars obviously didn’t use it for more than ten seconds. Speaking of ratings Apple shouldn’t allow users to rate an app when deleting it. If you’re deleting it, it obviously wasn’t that great. That just doesn’t make much sense. Anyway, I’ll give you a little example of someone who didn’t use Keymote for too long after leaving their springboard.

Okay, first off, this is based solely on one of our “keysets” that I made. You can easily make your own keyset or download others. Second, I, among many others, do not find Keymote to be a “toy I wouldn’t see anyone using very often.” Now, I know I’m biased as I’m part of Iced Cocoa, but hear me out. I know many people who use Keymote when working in Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Aperture, and many other applications to increase their productivity. Thirdly, the one thing I absolutely hate to hear people say is “Oh, this isn’t worth $x.xx, it should be $x.xx.” Many before me have made this argument, but I’m gonna make it again. You bought an iPhone or iPod Touch for a couple hundred dollars and, if you’re an iPhone user, you pay a pretty hefty (in my book, at least) bill every month…but $3.99 is too much? That logic just boggles my mind. I can’t comprehend that argument.

Alright, I’m done ranting. Go back to whatever you were doing. Go…eat a pizza or something. Yeah. Pizza.

1) If you have a Google Wave account, what do you like most about it? If you don’t have an account, is it due to a lack of trying, or have you just not gotten in yet?
